Dartmouth/BU/MUHAS School of Public Health Educational Collaboration
This collaborative program, funded as a supplement to Dartmouth's Fogarty AITRP grant by the CDC/Tanzania, involves activites in four primary areas:
- Curricular development--MUHAS SPH is undertaking a comprehensive review of its curriculum in each of its seven masters programs and envisions start-up of additional degree and non-degree programs;
- Faculty development--MUHAS SPH has identified a need to strengthen faculty teaching skills in general, including adult learning techniques;
- Technology and resource development--MUHAS SPH wishes to review and strengthen its existing programs for student mentoring, especially related to field projects and research; and
- Linkages, stakeholders, and larger system influence development--MUHAS SPH wishes to enhance its capabilities in development of workshops, symposia, and general idea exchanges. Further, the school wishes to strengthen the collaborative partnership with other institutions, particularly in research areas of interest to its students and faculty.
This multi-year educational collaborative involves faculty and staff from Dartmouth Medical School, The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Management (TDI), the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning (DCAL), and the Center for Global Health and Development at the BU School of Public Health, along with all faculty at MUHAS SPH.
